Richard Brown, 68, of Steele, Mo., died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born July 11, 1939, in Adamsville, Tenn., son of the late Hays and Mary Gray Brown, he was a farm laborer.
Survivors include seven daughters, Virginia Redden, of Clarkton, Mo., Robbie Simmons and Betty Brown, both of Steele, Dorothy Mooney and Carolyn Sue Brown, both of Kennett, Linda Morrow, of California and Brenda Morrow, of Tennessee; six sons, Robert Brown and Greg Morrow, both of Steele, Kenneth Brown and Donnie Morrow, both of Kennett, James Lee, of Holland, Mo., and James Morrow, of Florida; his fiancee, Carolyn Brown, of Kennett; two sisters, Virginia Holt and Addie Lou McHaney, both of Caruthersville, Mo.; four brothers, Ray Brown, of Steele, Jackie Brown, of Texas and A.J. and Thurman Brown, both of Caruthersville; 41 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Friday, July 27, at the Powell Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Mike Hargraves officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
