Born Dec. 24, 1929, in Ohio, he was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. He was the owner and operator of A.A.&R Service in Kennett and he also worked at Noranda for 24 years in the maintenance department. Throughout his life, he was a carpenter and electrician. He was a man of diverse talents.
On June 5, 2004, in Kennett, he married Martha Bolden Rose, who survives. Mr. Bane was married to Mary Evelyn Smith before Martha, she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one son, Tommy Bane and one brother, Junior Bane.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Bane, of Kennett; one son, Rick Bane and wife, Delores, of Kennett; two daughters, Debbie Miller, of Kennett and Marilyn Rouse and husband, Ted, of Hornersville, Mo.; two brothers, Clifford Bane and Calvin Bane, both of Kennett; six grandchildren, Michael Bane and Kristina Bane, both of Atlanta, Ga., Tina Qualls and Amanda Roberts and husband, Chad, all of Kennett, Angie Teeter and husband, Steve, of Holland, Mo., and Sarah Faulkner and husband, Dewayne, of Jackson, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Kera Nichole Bane, of Little Rock, Ark., Caleb Albert Bane, of Atlanta and Jacob Qualls, of Kennett; six step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, July 24, at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Don Evans, Don Emery and Daniel Evans officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Randy Ray, Odell Daniels, Andrew Evans, Mike Lack, Steve Williams and John Barkley.
Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Ray, Jessie Montgomery, Jim Fuller, Bufford Simpson and Dr. Joseph Sprott.
