Marvin Paul Lawrence, Sr., 68, of Kennett, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born May 13, 1939, in Clarkton, Mo., son of the late William Paul and Margaret Idella Byron Lawrence, he was in the National Guard, a truck driver and a member of the Word of Life General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Carl Lawrence, of Kennett and Marvin Paul Lawrence, Jr., of Essex, Mo.; four daughters, Connie Franks, of Sikeston, Mo., Barbara McComb, of Malden, Mo., Shelia Baird, of Dexter, Mo., and Judy Delmont, of Burbon, Mo.; two brothers, Rick and Tim Lawrence, both of Kennett; four sisters, Minnie Lawrence and Doris Grubbs both of Kennett, Barbara Elliott, of Malden and Teresa Adams, of Dexter; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Lawrence and one sister, Myrtla Adams.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, July 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Crane officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
