Gary Lynn Bowman, 52, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born June 6, 1955, in Phenix City, Ala., son of Marie Wilson Bowman and the late John Howard Bowman, he was a 1974 graduate of North Pemiscot High School and was employed for Motor Appliance. He was a member of Dry Bayou Baptist Church.

On May 21, 1977, in Hayti, he married Debra Hamlett, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Candy Davis and husband, Jacob, of Millersville, Mo.; one son, Lynn Bowman, of Hayti; one brother, Wayne Bowman and wife, Derinda, of Kennett; one sister, Janice Burke and husband, Larry, of Blytheville, Ark.; his mother, Marie Bowman, of Portageville, Mo., and three grandchildren, Jonna, Jace and Colby Davis, of Millersville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 14, at the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville, Mo., with Bro. Doug Wahls officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Keith House, Ronnie Mathenia, Tommy Terrell, Mike Terrett, Donnie Stowe and Dell Waldren. Active pallbearers were Walt Turner and John Burnett.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
