Gary Pigmon, 65, of Kennett, died Monday, July 9, 2007, at Kennett.

Born February 25, 1942, at Holcomb, Mo., he was the son of Hallie Stockton Pigmon of Kennett and the late Hershel Pigmon. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked as a supervisor at Emerson Electric in Kennett.

He married Mavis Higgins who survives.

Other survivors include one step-son, Jim Higgins of Paragould, Ark. Two step-daughters, Vickie Hamlett and husband, Dennis, of Kennett and Myra Bennett and husband, Phillip, of St. Louis. Two brothers: Danny Pigmon and wife, Carol, of Kennett and Douglas Pigmon and wife, Kathy, of Holcomb; one sister, Yvette Moore and husband, Jerry, of Kennett; seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandhchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy David Pigmon.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. today, Thursday, July 12, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Chris Maynard officiating.

Pallbearers were Randall Scott, Sonny Marshall, Tommy Stockton, Charlie Wilson, John Smith and Jeff Loafman.

Honorary pallbearers were Jim Wilson and Herman Evans.
