Barbara A. Buckrucker, 75, of Killeen, Texas, died May 30, 2007, in Austin, Texas.
Born Oct. 22, 1931, in Octa, Mo., daughter of the late General Sherman and Sally Alice Oliver Holbrook, she attended school in Bragg City, Mo., and Deering, Mo., she was an election judge and served on organizational boards. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Headstart Hill Country, a Silver Buffalo recipient for Boy Scouts of America, a leader and counselor for the Girl Scouts of America and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Legion of Mary and Youth of Yesteryear.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Lynne Pollex and husband, Lawrence; one son, Kevin Alan Buckrucker, Sr., and wife, Elizabeth; two brothers, Alfred Holbrook and wife, Myrna, of Kennett and Eddie Holbrook and wife, Rose, of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Alice Faye Callis and husband, Bill, of Kennett and Louise Miller, of Eads, Tenn., and three grandchildren, Fred and Brian Pollex and Kevin Alan Buckrucker, Jr.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Sherman Leon Holbrook and one sister, Doris Coffer.
A rosary was held at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 7, at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
Burial was in Kennett.
