Tommy Lee Harris, 47, of Steele, Mo., died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at his residence.
Born Aug. 23, 1959, in Steele, son of Duer Holt and the late Mary R. Harris, he was a graduate of South Pemiscot High School, a painter and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four brothers, James E. Harris Sr.,, and wife, Gladys and Jerry Lee Harris, all of Kansas City, Mo., Robert Harris, of Sikeston, Mo., and Ollie Brown, of Junction City, Kan.; four sisters, Beatrice Mays, of Jefferson City, Mo., Willie Jean Spears and Jettie M. Rollins, both of Steele and Joann Harris, of Columbia, Mo.; his father, Duer Holt and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Vincent Harris.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 16, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with the Rev. James E. Harris, Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Morning Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Reginald Boswell, Robert Cooper, Charles Davis, Rickey Herron, Eddie Armstrong and Corlet Spears.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
