Doyle Burge

Doyle K. Burge, 79, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 31, 1928, in Batesville, Ark., son of the late King and Zella Burge, he was a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran and a general contractor.

Survivors include one son, Edward Burge and wife, Heather, of Portageville, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Garcia, of Bakersville, Calif., and Yvonne Burge, of Tupelo, Miss.; one brother, James Burge, of Los Angeles, Calif., one grandson and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Walker Burge.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 4, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., with James Powell officiating.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
