Bernie Lawson, 71, of Kennett, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born April 4, 1936, in Kennett, son of the late Doss and Arzetta Morgan Lawson, he was employed at Nucor-Yomata.
He married Alice Lawson, she preceded him in death on May 21, 1985. On June 21, 1986, in Kennett, he married Kathy Greenway, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Ronnie Lawson, of Orman Beach, Fla., and Scott Lindsey, of Pittsburgh, Penn.; four daughters, Julie ann Stouder, of Cookeville, Tenn., Donna McMillin and Leigh Harris, both of Kennett and Rose Marie Payne, of Rector, Ark.; two brothers, Dallas Lawson, of New Carlisle, Ind., and Johnny Lawson, of Elkhart, Ind.; four sisters, Wanda Battles, of Gobler, Mo., Mildred West, of Memphis, Tenn., Gladys Stone, of Knox, Tenn., and Edna Laster, of LaPorte, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gelsinger officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele. Mo.
Pallbearers were Matt Lawson, Brady and Corey McMillin, Gary Don Langston, Tim Webb and Joe Kinnision.
