John Henry Robinson, 63, of Kennett, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Sept. 18, 1943, in Hayti, Mo., son of Lester Robinson, Sr., and the late Sadie Mae Ticer Robinson, he was employed at Nucor Steele in Blytheville, Ark., and was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Hayti Heights, Mo.
Survivors include eight sons, Casey Robinson, of Kansas City, Mo., Victory Robinson, of Detroit, Mich., Cecil Hunt and wife, Kenya, of Atlanta, Ga., James Robinson, of Hayti and John F. Robinson, Jacky Robinson and wife, Karla, Gregory Robinson and Frank Barringer, all of Blytheville; four daughters, Carla Cobbins, of Baltimore, Md., Trina Robinson, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Irene Robinson, of Gosnell, Ark., and April Robinson, of Blytheville; seven sisters, Freda Ivory and DeWon Pittman and husband, Douglas, all of Hayti, Mo., Ethel Woods, of St. Louis, Mo., Regina LeVells and Gloria Smith, both of Memphis, Celeste Thompson and husband, James, of Muskogee, Okla., and Audrey Moore and husband, Cody, of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Gregory K. Robinson, of Hayti and a host of grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie Robinson and Lester Robinson, Jr.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 3, at the Multi Purpose Building at the Hayti Elementary School with Pastor Tommy Lee Allen officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were John, Jackie and Gregory Robinson and Cecil Hunt, Victor Smith and DeWayne Ivory.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
