Bertha May Buck, 72, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Friday, May 25, 2007 at her residence.
Born Feb. 1, 1935 at Williamsville, Mo. she was the daughter of the late Dennie Eugene and Viola Blair Bratcher. She worked for the Visiting Nurses Association for nine years and was the owner, along with her husband, of Buck's Homecare Services. She was a member of the United Church of God in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
On July 3, 1957 she married Calvin Gene Buck at Hernando, Miss., who survives.
Other survivors include one son, Michael Jeffrey Buck of Wappapello, Mo.; one daughter, Petti Jean Jones of Caruthersville, Mo.; one granddaughter, London Jones of Caruthersville; and three sisters, Bernice Ward of Brosley, Mo., Lois Dingman of Rapid City, S.D. and Edna Ratican of Parma, Mo.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Franklin Buck and Benjamin Dominic Gene Buck; and two brothers, Philip Ray Bratcher and Joe David Bratcher.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel at Hayti, Mo., with Mr. Rick Beam officiating.
Burial followed at the Lulu Cemetery at Senath, Mo.
Pallbearers included Michael Buck, Marion Lee Buck, David Greer, Dave Kalkbrenner, Blake White and Rick Ward.
