Ralph Edward Williams, 59, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at Jackson, Tenn.
Born April 4, 1948 at Blytheville, Ark., he was the son of the late Willis Woodrow and Ella Marie Cunningham Williams. He was a 1966 graduate of Caruthersville High School, attended the Caruthersville First Assembly of God Church and was a mechanic for Joe Rose Trucking.
On April 24, 1967 he married Carole Ann Sawyer at Caruthersville, who survives.
Other survivors include five children, Cheryl Marie Halford and husband, Tommy, of Caruthersville, LaDonna Reanye Logan and husband, Johnny, Ralph E. William Jr. and wife, Tammy, and Lisa Diane Hooper and husband, Jerry, all of Hayti, Mo., and Paula Gayle Creasy and husband, Brian, of Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Carolyn Paulette Williams and husband, Frank, of Kennett, Mo. and Debbye Darlene Boyce of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One sister, Patricia Williams, and one brother-in-law, Terry Boyce, preceded him in death.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Caruthersville First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rob Titus officiating.
Burial followed at the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers included Mark Turnipseed, Steve Caudle, Frank Williams, Cody Boyce, Herbert "Bubby" Henson and Andy Smith.
Honorary pallbearers included Marty Jones, Wymond Walpole, Raymond Best and Neal Stokley.
