Nora Green Martin, 95, of Kennett, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born Feb. 3, 1914, in Wayne Co., Tenn., daughter of the late John and Ada Flippo Turnbo, she was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.
She married James Lilbourn Green, who preceded her in death, and A.E. Martin, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, James Lewis Green; four sisters, Etta Green, Bonnie Brown, Inez Holder and Cora Goodman and two brothers, Tommy Lewis and John Clifford Turnbo.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Jamie Stone Mayo, of Awendaw, S.C., and Janice McClure, of Blytheville, Ark., and three great-grandchildren, Austin Berry and Jacob Andrew Stone and Jordan Annabell McClure.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating.
Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
