Ethel Lee Presberry White, 67, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at her residence.
Born March 10, 1940, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the late Hayes and Emma Allen Presberry, she was an alderwoman in Hayti Heights and was employed at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hayti.
Survivors include her husband, Lemuel "Sonny" White, of Hayti; three daughters, Kelesia Evonne of Champaign, Ill., Debra Ann, of Springfield, Ill., and Tonja Renae, of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, Edmond L. III, and wife, Helen, of Blue Springs, Mo., and Michael Lynn, Kelvin Bernard and Ray Anthony, all of Hayti; five sisters, Dorothy Redmond and husband, Louis, of Robbins, Ill., Doris Gooden and husband, Prentiss, Lorene Broom and husband, Reggie, all of Chicago, Ill., Bernice Anderson, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Brenda Presberry, of Hayti; four brothers, Hayes Presberry, Jr., and wife, Maggie, of Chicago, Robert Presberry and wife, Jackie, Roy Presberry and wife, Charlotte, all of Hayti and Douglas Presberry and wife, Elaine, of Milwaukee, Wis.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Venus Larane; one sister, Hazel; one brother, Charles and two infant siblings.
Funeral services were held at noon, Saturday, May 26, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with the Rev. Luther Butler, Jr. officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were family members.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
