David and Tammy Skinner of Troy, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Misty Michelle Skinner, to Jesse William Minnick, son of Chuck and Diane Fritcher of Herrin, Ill.

The bride to be is the granddaughter of Gene and Barbara Holligan, Ruth Skinner and the late Bill Skinner, all of Kennett.

She is a 2001 graduate of O'Fallon Township High School and a 2005 graduate of McKendree College where she earned a degree in elementary education, and is currently employed as a substitute teacher for the Triad School District in Troy.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Herrin High School and is currently employed as a material handler for Heidtman Steel in Granite City, Ill.

The wedding is planned for August 4, 2007.
