Thelma Droke, 90, of Senath, Mo., died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Oct. 30, 1916, in Hornersville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Monson P. and Rebecca Lucinda Lomax Schell.
On Dec. 9, 1933, in Hollywood, Mo., she married C.S. "Cube" Droke, who preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Droke Berry and Elizabeth Jo Ann Droke; an infant brother, S.M. Schell; two sisters, Alberta Ford and Agnes Branum and two step-sisters, Roberta Baker Riggs and Katheryn Schell.
Survivors include one son, Joe Droke and wife, Barbara, of Senath; one brother, M.L. Schell and wife, Mary Lee, of Hornersville; three grandchildren, Sean Droke, Stacie Dodson and Chris Berry and five great-grandchildren, Nadia Dodson, Scott and Evan Berry and Beau and Megan Droke.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, a the Coldwater Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Speight officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Aaron and Tim Jamerson, Steve Droke, Gary Murphy, Sr., and Jamie Cates and Buford Stakes.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
