Jeanne Littell, 76, born on the 20th of July 1930 in Gideon, Mo., died on the 11th of May 2007 in Pearland, Texas.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a registered nurse for 53 years. This long career started as a nurse educator at the University of Missouri, later working in ICU and research. Pioneering the first Head Start healthcare program in the country, her gift of caring for and loving children was evident. She worked for Texas Children's Hospital for thirteen years and completed her long rewarding career of twenty-three years at Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston, Texas, where she retired in December 2002. She devoted many hours assisting with the Shrine Circus in Houston. Jeanne's collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald house, along with her work with the Delphians, proved very rewarding. She never forgot a birthday, and always brought a smile to everyone's face with her banana nut bread, which needed no special occasion. Jeanne was a member of First Methodist Church in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by sons, Mark A. Littell and wife, Sanna, Eric R. Littell and wife, Susan; grandsons, Todd Aurthur Littell, and William Neil Littell and wife, Dana.
