Mary E. Phillips, 77, of Hayti, Mo., died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Ark.
Born May 11, 1930, in Hayti, daughter of the late Warren and Elizabeth Dye Beck, she was employed at Brown Shoe Company and Pemiscot Memorial Hospital and a member of the Hayti First Baptist church.
On March 1, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Clarence "Doc" Phillips, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Dennis Phillips and wife, Linda, of Hayti; two daughters, Peggy Brandenburg, of Hayti and Lynne Lee and husband, Mike, of Caruthersville, Mo.; one brother, Robert Beck, of Detroit, Mich.; two grandsons, Bobby Halford, Jr., of Greenville, Mo., and David Brandenburg, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Andrea Phillips, of Hayti and Breana Lee, of Caruthersville and two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Kristen Phillips, both of Hayti.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Bobby Gene Beck; one sister, Nellie Beck and a grandson, Lee Phillips.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Bobby and Ronnie Alexander, Timmy Bunch, Doyle Bridges, Jason Nelson and Lee Thompson.
