Ellen Belcher, 94, of Holcomb, Mo., died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Holcomb.
Born Sept. 22, 1912, in Datto, Ark., daughter of the late Robert and Isabell "Bragg" Mitchell, she was a member of Tatum Chapel Church.
On Sept. 13, 1930, in Doniphan, Mo., she married William "Bill" Thomas Belcher, who preceded her in death on March 27, 1980. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wilma Dean Belcher; one grandson, Scott Belcher; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include six sons, Sgt. Major William C. Belcher and wife, Rita, of Dothan, Ala., Elmer Belcher and wife, Betty, of Hot Springs, Ark., Wilburn Belcher and wife, Joyce, of Glennonville, Mo., Delmer Belcher and wife, Sharon, of Holcomb, Mo., Tommy Belcher, of Sikeston, Mo., and Donnie Belcher and wife, Joy, of Kennett; three daughters, Thelma Crawford, Zelma Lacy and husband, Buddy and Nelma Bradshaw and husband, Howard, all of Holcomb; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today. Wednesday, May 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
