Gary Wayne Moody, 56, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, May 11, 2007, at his residence.

Born July 11, 1950, in Caruthersville, son of Geneva Nokes Moody and the late James Allen Moody, he was a 1968 graduate of Caruthersville High School and a 1973 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University. He was with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and in the construction business.

Survivors include one son, Clint Moody and wife, Sheri, of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, James Terry Moody and wife Jessica, of Covington, Ga.., and Jerry Allen Moody, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his mother, Geneva Moody, of Caruthersville; one granddaughter, Molly Marie Moody, of Jackson and companion, Janet Wilson, of Covington, Tenn.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, May 14, at the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville with Dr. Kirwin Stewart and Rev. Steve Fehrman officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were James White, Willie Baird, George Goodrum, Mike Talkington, Donald Bond and Buster Pylate.

Honorary pallbearers were John Alls, Ronnie Fox, Freddie Krapf, Ronnie Smith and Dean Teeter.
