James Arthur Shelton, 62, of Kennett, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Dec. 21, 1944, in Kennett, son of the late Lloyd Jarrett and Irene Shelton Jarrett, he was a brick mason.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jarrett, of Kennett; one son, James L. Jarrett and wife, Tammy, of Kennett; two daughters, Stephanie Curtwright and husband, Joe, of Caulifield, Mo., and Tammy Skaggs and husband, Stacy, of Clarkton, Mo.; two sisters, Brenda Jarrett and Regina Jarrett, both of Michigan; one brother, Clarence Jarrett, of Kenlock, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Cletus Dean Jarrett and one brother, Jimmy Don Jarrett.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, May 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ricky Williams officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
