Born Feb. 5, 1918, son of the late Floyd and Nancy Mae Hopkins Belt, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in W.W.II, and was a retired trucker and farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Gibbons, of Raymondville; four grandchildren, Katie McRoy, of Defiance, Mo., Vicki McElrry, of Aurora, Col., Connie Statten, of Kirkwood, Mo., and Bill Gibbons, Jr., of DeSoto, Mo.; 9 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Belt, and one sister, Gladys Brady.
Visitation was held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., today, Sunday, May 13, with funeral services scheduled to follow at 2:30 p.m., at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo., with James Powell officiating.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
