Born Oct. 31, 1938, in Shaw, Ark., son of the late John and Mary Smith Kentner, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Baptist Church of Wardell.
On July 18, 1958, in Wardell, he married Saunder Wilson, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Harold Kentner, of Wardell; one daughter, Synthia Phillips, of Wardell; three brothers, Ted Kentner, of Wardell, Vance Kentner, of Benton, Ark., and Chalmer Kentner, of Lawton, Okla. and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 9, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Wardell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 10, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Timms officiating.
Burial with military rites will follow in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jimmy and William Shaeffer, Scott and James Melton, Brett Phillips and Malcomb Babb.
Honorary pallbearer is Ray Hawkins.
