Born Dec. 30, 1931, in Grayridge, Mo., son of the late Dave and Hazel Eaves, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a farmer.
On Aug. 25, 1953, in Bloomfield, Mo., he married Jacquline Hester, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Harold Eaves and wife, Debe, of Kennett, James Eaves and wife, Wanda, of Jackson, Mo., and Johnny Eaves and wife, Vicky, of Bernie; one daughter, Barbara Kegley, of Malden, Mo.; one brother, Ed Crockett, of Michigan; one sister, Carol Hall, of Brighton, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kindra Polito, of Havelock, N.C., Beau Kegley, and Kristian, Matthew and Zachary Eaves, all of Bernie, Courtney Eaves, of Jefferson City, Mo., and April Laster, of Dexter, Mo. and five great-grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Hubert and Bobby Crockett.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo. with Stan Dauck officiating.
