Leone Wilson

Leone Wilson, 89, of Kennett, Mo., formerly of Doniphan, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Kennett.

Born Feb. 24, 1918, in Neelyville, Mo., she was the daughter of the late James Horace and Molly Hines Ennis.

On Nov. 16, 1934, she married Ted Wilson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1979. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Floyd Stallings, and Vernon, Herman, and Melvin Ennis; three sisters, Mabel Thomas, Jessie Reed, and Hazel Scates; and a granddaughter, Diane Smithson McDonald.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Smithson, of Kennett, and Mary Frances "Frankie" Hoefer of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and one sister, Verneal Theile, of Overland, Mo.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 6 till 8 p.m., Saturday, May 5, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services begin at 1 p.m., today, Sunday, May 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel, with Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will take place at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Doniphan, Mo.

Pallbearers are Jeff Lowman, Jim Russell, Boyce Hoefer, Seth McDonald, Dennis Smithson and Michael Horton
