Hilda Harrison

Hilda Arvilla Harrison, 85, of Clarkton, Mo., died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.

Born Feb. 13, 1922, in Gideon, daughter of the late Oscar and Amanda Catherine Teel Reeves, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarkton.

On March 6, 1941, in Clarkton, she married Charles Winford Harrison, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1994. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon H. and Ethridge Reeves; one sister, Ulyea Reeves and one grandson, Steven Neldon.

Survivors include one son, Charles Wayman Harrison, of Malden, Mo.; two daughters, Winnie Joyce Vandiver and husband, Ralph and Beverly Neldon and husband, Carl, all of Holcomb, Mo.; five sisters, Jeanette McAlister, of Gideon, Glenda Albright, of Pekin, Ill., Mary McLean, of Beebe, Ark., Naomi Burson and husband, Ralph, of Campbell, Mo., and Velma Jean Adkins and husband, Jack, of Kennett; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., today, Wednesday, May 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Paul Williams and Philip Harrison officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.

Pallbearers were Mick and Terry Vandiver, Nathan Lorenz, Brian Allen, Jamie Neldon and Chuck Harrison, Jr.
