Vernon Junior Gregory, 77, of Kennett, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at his residence.

Born Feb. 13, 1930, in Humboldt, Tenn., son of the late Earnest Richard and Dollie Nealie Rogers Gregory, he was a carpenter and of the Pentecostal faith.

On July 2, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., he married Billie Jean Gilliam, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Darrell Wayne Gregory, of Coloma, Mich., Terry Allen Gregory, of Clarkton, Mo., and Kenneth Harold Gregory, of Kennett; one daughter, Carol Yvonne Cowgill, of Kennett; one brother, James Gregory, of Indiana; one sister, Olean Newberry, of Heber Springs, Ark.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Leard Gregory and one sister, Myrtle Gregory.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Purser officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
