Mabel Holmes

Mabel Lois Holmes, 78, of Kennett, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born June 9, 1928, in Kennett, daughter of the late Robert C. and Eliza James Holmes, she was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two double first cousins, James Holmes, of Kennett and Thelma Whitehurst, of Acton, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil W. Holmes and double first cousins, Helen Stoner and Burley and Ballard Holmes.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Wesley Key and Dwight Harrison officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Robert Powell, Bradley Benson, Tommy Samples and James Hackworth.
