Verna McCaleb, 93, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Hornersville, Mo., died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at her residence.

Born Aug. 15, 1913, in Cotton Plant, Mo., daughter of the late Lee Ander and Mary Williams Mulherin, she was a drug store clerk and a member of the Baptist Church in Hornersville.

On July 24, 1932, in Senath, Mo., she married Mariman McCaleb, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1988. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Byron and Harold Mulherin and one sister, Nadine Mulherin.

Survivors include one son, James R. McCaleb, of Eagle, Idaho; one grandson, James R. McCaleb, Jr., of Tulsa, Okla.; one granddaughter, Lisa Kim McCaleb, of Tulsa and one great-granddaughter, Katie McCaleb, of Tulsa.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, at the First Baptist Church of Hornersville with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville is in charge of arrangements.
