Violet Kemp Pickard, 82, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born July 4, 1924, in Marble Hill, Mo., daughter of the late Alexander and Eva Stone Brown, she was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith.
On March 18, 1944, in Piggott, Ark., she married Charles Kemp, who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1974. She later married Jewel Pickard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Terrell; one sister; five brothers and two grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie Charles Kemp, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Tommy Lee and Timothy John Kemp, both of Malden; two daughters, Deana Kay Carlson, of Clearwater, Fla., and Sherell Ann Sheckles, of Malden; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, at the Landess Funeral Home with the Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
