Ruth Maxine Sanders, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Westwood Hills HealthCare Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born March 10, 1925, in Gideon, Mo., daughter of the late Henry Louis and Maudie Lee Livingston Street, she was a member of the Huey Baptist Church in Gideon.
On Dec. 29, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert Bailey Sanders, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Robert Street.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty Street-Jordan and Cathie Bradshaw, both of Courtland, Va., and Cynthia Pattillo, of Poplar Bluff; one son, Robert Sanders, Jr., of Campbell, Mo.; five step-daughters, Tina Hutchison, of Caruthersville, Mo., Margie Conway, of Phoenix, Ariz., Joyce Beck, of Campbell, Glenda Michaels, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Faye Rivera, of Walls, Miss.; two sisters, Bess Green, of Ellisville, Mo., and Freida Whitehead, of Columbia, Mo.; one brother, Junior Street of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 24, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Kenneth Kennedy officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
