Southaven Assisted Living residents, Mr. & Mrs. J.C. Shipman, recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Saturday, March 24, 2007. Their five children as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which included a granddaughter who recently returned from Iraq, enjoyed an evening of fellowship and great food at Strawberries BBQ in Holcomb, Mo. Family members traveled as far as Memphis, Tenn., and St. Louis, Mo., to honor the couple. J.C. and Peggy were married on March 22, 1942 and are lifetime Kennett residents.
