Leonard McAfee

Leonard Norvell McAfee, 50, of Gobler, Mo., died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born May 21, 1956, in Gobler, Mo., son of Mattie Louise Smith and the late Dwright Riley, he was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed by PUBLIX Supermarkets in Marietta, Ga. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Marietta.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher McAfee, of Dubuque, Iowa, and Leonard Norvell McAfee, II, of Ohio; one daughter, Courtney McAfee Williams, of Ohio; mother, Mattie Louise Spears, of Metropolis, Ill.; adopted mother, Vinnetter McAfee, of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, Mincese Kertis Riley, of Steele, Mo., Groffrey Spears, of Moberly Mo., and J.C. Hayes, of St. Louis; three sisters, Viola Love, of West Memphis, Ark., Adella Meadows, of Metropolis and Gaytel Gates, of Wardell, Mo., and two granddaughters, Courtney and Cristage McAfee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny B. Johnson, Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gobler Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Leonard McAfee II, Tyrone Rose, Christopher McAfee, Ray Charles Reeves, Kertis Riley II and Stacy Riley.
