Born Sept. 25, 1925, in Yarbro, Ark., son of the late Percy Thomas, Jr., and Autro Bell Thomas, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWI. He graduated from O'Bannon High School in Lilbourn, and was a member of VFW Post No. 7183 of Lilbourn.
On Dec. 4, 1954, he married Clementine Terry, who preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 1999. He was also preceded in death by two sons and five brothers.
Survivors include four sons, Andrew Thomas, Jr., of Lilbourn, Duane Thomas and wife, Rane, of Palestine, Texas, John Henry Thomas, of California and Travis Thomas, of Texas; seven daughters, Evelyn Pulliam and husband, Robert, of Kennett, Ruth Thomas and husband, Willie, of Lilbourn, Elouis Hudson and husband, James, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Vickie Elaine Adams and husband, Walter, of Jefferson City, Mo., Dorothy Rhone Compton, of California and Barbara Criglar and husband, Anthony and Brenda McDaniels, all of Malden; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 14, at the House of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Portageville, Mo., with Bishop Charlie Geeen, Jr. officiating.
Burial with military rites will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid, Mo.
Williams Funeral Home of Howardville, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
