Born June 2, 1926, in Milburn, Tenn., son of the late Eulon Carl and Eular Mae Bucie Evans, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII and a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Wayne Evans, of California and Carl Edward Evans, of Tennessee; one daughter, Kathy Jo Evans, of California; two brothers, Bill Evans and wife, Glenda, of Campbell and Charles Evans, of Tennessee; two sisters, Juanita Reed, of Campbell and Virginia Stoker and husband, John, of Kennett and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Edward Carl Evans; one daughter, Wanda Sue Evans; one step-son, Dennis Rhinehart; one sister, Velma Powers and two brothers, Bob and Dwight Evans.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 9, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Andy Evans officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition at Campbell.
