Robert E. Sullinger, 79, of Kennett, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at National HealthCare in Kennett.

Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Kennett, son of the late Lum and Beulah Moore Sullinger, he was a U.S. Navy veteran.

On Oct. 31, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., he married Peggy Howlett, who survives .

Survivors also include one son, Robert Earl Sullinger, Jr., and wife, Jackie, of Doniphan, Mo.; one daughter, Vicky Lofting and husband, Robert, of Van Buren, Mo.; two sisters, Alveda Flem, of Bakersville, Calif., and Sue Lemonds, of Sikeston, Mo.; three grandchildren, Brandy Lucus, and Joshua and Jacob Sullinger and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Aidan Lucus.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Traylor.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home chapel in Kennett with the Revs. Jason Bowen and Bud Evans officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Bob White, Donnie Brooks, Jerry Moore, Bud Broadway, Lee Reed and Aaron Lucus.
