Byron Keith Riley, 79, of Kennett, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Aug. 12, 1927, in Bernie, Mo., son of the late George Edgar and Bertha Usery Riley, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He was employed with Paine Auto Parts and was a member of the Bakerville Church of Christ.

On Sept. 19, 1953, he married Betty Fox, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Dwight Keith Riley, of Kennett; one daughter, Judith Ann Posey and husband, Charles, of Sherwood, Ark.; two sisters, Nadine Capshaw, of Dallas, Texas and Maxine Spencer, of Lafayette, Ind., and two grandchildren, Stephen and Michael Posey, both of Sherwood.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Melba Curtis.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Wednesday, April 4, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with James Powell officiating.

Burial was in the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.

Pallbearers were Coy Baker, Max Averett, Stephen and Michael Posey, Joey Clark and Floyd "Sodie" Hampton.

Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Shipley, Bob Paine, Keith Privett, Floyd Owen, Bill Blankenship, Jeff Wade and Ron Roberts.

Memorials may be made to the Bakerville Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
