Dana R. Hooser, 88, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at his residence.

Born March 1, 1919, in Arkansas, son of the late Walter E. Hooser and Jessie Mae Cansler, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a mechanic.

On Dec. 22, 1945, in Malden, he married Opal L. Walter, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sisters, Data Whitehead, of Macon, Ga., and Aadella Cowell, of Clarkton, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis R. Hooser; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, April 3, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
