Esther Ioma Beaird, 87, of Kennett, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Nov. 10, 1919, in Cardwell, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Otto and Emma Bishop.
On Sept. 16, 1939, she married Cecil "Dude" Beaird, who preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leo Beaird; one daughter, Judy Ray; three brothers, Orlando, Vernon and A.M. Bishop and five sisters, Naioma Dearmore, Jean Poole, Aline Martin, Laveda McKay and Helen Edmondson.
Survivors include four sons, Bud Beaird, of Swartz Creek, Mich., Dr. James "Ed" Beaird, of Sikeston, Mo., Rev. Rick Beaird, of Dexter, Mo., and Kenny Beaird, of Kennett; one daughter, Peggy Gilooly, of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Emma Robinson, of Deno, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m., today, Tuesday, march 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ricky Williams officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Ricky Beaird, Jr., Randy Gilooly, Jimmy Beaird, Danny Ahlfield, Trevor Ahlfield and Andy Catron.
