Charles George
Charles King George, 82, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born Feb. 17, 1925, in Rombaur, Mo., son of the late Tillman Howard and Minnie Mae Stage George, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He was a member of the Malden Church of Christ and the DAV.

On Oct. 31, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Iola Myrline Blocker, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include four sons, Rex Lee George, of Sikeston, Mo., John George, of Imperial, Mo., Brian George, of Malden and Charles George Arnold, of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Naguib, of Godfrey, Ill., and Terry Artrip, of Hillsboro, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya Kay George; one brother, John George and one sister, Gladys Holtzhouser.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, March 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, at the Church of Christ in Malden with David McElwain officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
