Lurl Beth "Buffy" Atkins, 54, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Columbia.
Born Feb. 6, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of Donna J. Atkins and Charles L. Atkins, she was employed with Roth's Department Store in Columbia, Columbia Public Schools and was manager of Buffy's for Children.
Survivors include her children, Amy, Cary and Jay Atkins, all of Columbia, Tyler Atkins, of Washington, DC, Holly Atkins, of Hallsville, Ill., Lindsay Atkins, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Abe Atkins, of St. Louis, Mo.; her mother, Donna J. Atkins, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; her father, Charles L. Atkins and wife, Ellen, of Columbia and two brothers, Doug Atkins, of Naperville, Ill., and David Atkins, of Osage Beach, Mo.

A private memorial service was held Saturday, March 17 at her residence.
