Cassandra "Cassie" Lea Green, 26, of Columbia, Mo., passed away March 17, 2007, at Boone Hospital Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Thieme officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, Mo.
Cassie was born on June 26, 1980, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of Dr. James R. Green and Barbara Pearson.
She had a love of movies and music, and especially lived the band Widespread Panic. Cassie enjoyed writing and loved sports especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She graduated from Hickman High School. She was very intelligent. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in philosophy. Cassie enjoyed going on mission trips with her church, attending eight. She had a love of camping and enjoyed the Lake of the Ozarks.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Sanchez and husband, Dr. Carlos Sanchez, of Columbia; her father, Dr. James R. Green and wife, Maureen, of Columbia; two sisters, Kristina Green and Leah Sanchez, both of Columbia; significant other, John L. Jones, II; grandmother, Lois Pearson, of Brookfield, Wis.; step-sister, Renee Filbert and step-brother, Ryan Filbert, both of St. Louis, Mo.
