Robert L. Bailey, 81, of Chaffee, Mo., died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 4, 1926, in Piggott, Ark., he was the son of the late Jack and Minnie Bailey.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Bailey, of the home; two sons, Robert and Edward Bailey, both of St. Louis, Mo.; one step-son, Ron Irvin and Wife, Carol, of St. Louis; five daughters, Linda Byrd and husband, Raymond, LaDon Oswitz and husband, Frank and Norma Kuenke, all of St. Louis, Glenda Nance, of Imperial, Mo., and Barbara Dawson and husband, Doward, of Belleville, Ill.; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherry Bailey; three brothers, Ernest, Fred and James Bailey and one sister, Edith Landrum.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, March 13, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
