Rocky Hamrick

Jerry Don "Rocky" Hamrick, 71, of Hornersville, Mo., died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at his residence.

Born Oct. 9, 1935, in Hornersville, son of Ailene Moore, he was reared by the late Oscar and Myrtle Moore. He was a loan officer at a local bank and a member of the Methodist Church in Hornersville.

On March 12, 1955, in Buckeye, Ark., he married Phyllis Philhours, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Mike Hamrick and wife, Carol, of Hornersville; four sisters, Betty Hamlett, of Kennett, Bonnie Harrilla, of St. Louis, Mo., Gladys Wilson, of Oakley, Mich., and Joan Fuoss, of Colorado; one brother, Kenny Perkins, of Oakley; four grandchildren, Katie McCord, of Monette, Ark., Natalie Hamrick, of Los Angeles, Calif., Taylor Hamrick, of Senath, Mo., and Rachel Simmons, of Hornersville and three great-grandchildren, Conner, Harris and Max McCord, all of Monette.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Peterson and one great-grandchild, Carter Lane McCord.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, March 13, at the Hornersville Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Moore, John Edmonston, John Edmonston, II, Chris Miller, Joe Stillman and Jeff Lack.

Honorary pallbearers were the Hornersville graduating class of 1954.

Memorials may be made to the Hornersville United Methodist Church.

Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
