James "Whit" Madison Whitledge, 62, of Osage Beach, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.

Born Dec. 4, 1944, in Tampa, Fla., he was Superintendent of Schools for the Malden School District.

Survivors include one son, James Mitchell Whitledge and wife, Katina, of Senath, Mo.; one daughter, Megan Elizabeth Whitledge, of Camdenton, Mo.; Devon Cory Thompson, of Camdenton; one sister, Tammy Lee and husband, Pat, of Gideon, Mo., and two grandsons, Jesse Dean and James Cole Whitledge, both of Senath.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 15, at the Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Beach.
