Larry Gunnels

Larry DeWayne Gunnels, 49, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at his residence.

Born May 1, 1957 in Hayti, Mo., son of the late Mildred Louise Townsend Gunnels and the late Lloyd Gunnels he worked for the Colson Co. in Caruthersville and owned his own business, The Cambridge Manufacturing Co. He attended the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Faires and husband, Joey, of Hayti; two sons, Zachary and Matthew Gunnels of Malden, Mo.; his mother, Louise Gunnels; three brothers, Dale Gunnels, Brian Gunnels and wife, Tonya, all of Caruthersville, and Jimmy Gunnels and wife, Gina, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; and one granddaughter, Bethany Gunnels of Hayti, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 9 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.

Burial was at the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens near Caruthersville, Mo.

Pallbearers were Peanut Reno, Dr. John D. Gardner, Tom McCall, Mike Mitchell, Joe Cagle and Chris Crysler.

Honorary Pallbearers were Billy G. Rittenberry, Eldon Hedge, Aaron Gunnels, Kyle Kersey, Don Danley, Denny Green and Johnny Faulkner.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
