Marvin and Deborah Doughten of Kennett announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ava Marie Doughten to Michael Blake Goodman, son of Tony and Ceila Goodman of Kennett.

The bride to be is a 2005 graduate of Holcomb High School and is currently attending Southeast Missouri State University where she is majoring in early childhood education.

She is the granddaughter of the late Calvin and Violet Walpole of Kennett and the late Guy and Rena Doughten of Holcomb.

The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Kennett High School and is currently attending Three Rivers Community College where he is majoring in nursing.

He is the grandson of Larry Goodman, Helen Stark, Jean Stegall and the late Pete Stegall all of Kennett.

The wedding will take place at 3 p.m., April 14, 2007, at Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.
