Peggy Sue Riley, 69, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Caruthersville.
Born Sept. 17, 1937, in Newbern, Tenn., daughter of the late John Wesley and Lovie Laverne McCollum Mitchell, she was a waitress and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Caruthersville.
Survivors include three daughters, Kim Moore and Lisa Griffin and husband, Ron, all of Caruthersville and Lorrie Thomas and husband, Kelly, of Hayti, Mo.; one son, Johnny Riley, of California; one brother, John Wesley Mitchell, Jr. and wife, Shirley, of Humboldt, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher and Matthew Moore, Tyler and Kelcie Thomas, Justin Brimhall and Coltin Griffin and one great-granddaughter, Chloe Moore.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Mitchell and a sister, Norma Jean Mitchell.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the First Assembly of God Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Bob Titus officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Brandon, Christopher and Matthew Moore, Tyler and Todd Thomas and Justin Brimhall.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
