Zelma Huston Jacques, 92, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Cypress Point Care Center in Dexter, Mo.
Born April 17, 1914, in Kennett, daughter of the late Robert D. and Etta Causey Hawkins, she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Campbell.
On July 12, 1930, in Piggott, Ark., she married Clyde Lindell Jacques, Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jack Jacques; one sister, Sue Krems; four brothers, Joe, Raymond, Bryon and Bob Hawkins; one grandson, Michael Jacques and two great-grandsons, Derrick McAlister and Landon Jacques.
Survivors include her children, Peggy Hill and husband, Bill, of Swartz Creek, Mich., Jerry Lee Jacques and wife, Shirley, of West Plains, Mo., Carmelita Lance, of O'Fallon, Mo., Jonell Everett and husband, Tom and Linda Swafford and husband, Joe, all of Campbell, Louella Akers, of Nashville, Temm., Clyde Jacques, Jr., and wife, Judy, of Dexter and Tommy Jacques, of Malden, Mo. two sisters, Juanita Anthony, of Rogers, Ark., and June Tetteton, of Herculaneum, Mo.; two brothers, J.C. Hawkins, of Stoutland, Mo., and Bill Hawkins, of Anaheim, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Landess Funeral Home chapel in Campbell with Kevin Lawrence officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
