Bennie Hyde

Bennie Franklin Hyde, 94, of Paragould, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at the Paragould Nursing Center.

Born Feb. 8, 1913, in Cardwell, Mo., she was a homemaker and a member of the Paragould Christian Church.

She married Johnnie Hyde, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Jerry Dale Hyde; one daughter, Virginia Louise Hyde; one brother, Harmon Smith and one sister, Mable Harper.

Survivors include one son, Dennis Hyde, of Paragould; two daughters, Joan Mathews, of Raleigh, N.C., and Brenda Sonney, of Paragould; two sisters, Helen Stearns, of Hazelwood, Mo., and Lorene Tiemann, of Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Duane Dutka officiating.

Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Cardwell Cemetery.
